CAC Bukovje was initiated by Nina Slejko and Conny Blom in spring 2010. / Bukovje is a small mountain village approximately one hour car ride away from Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. The Conceptual Art Centre Bukovje is housed in a big family house that now doubles as home and international art centre. / CAC is an art centre as an idea. We however have a projector, a flat screen TV and a couple of white walls. / CAC arranges events and exhibitions that melt together with the daily life. Screenings in the living room or in grandma’s apartment on the ground floor, exhibitions in the studio and garden, etc. / Our program is composed of art that we love. We have an urge to show it to others. / We have put our dreams on to the CAC webpage, but we will remove the names of the artists who will not want to be related to us as soon as they let us know about it. The as-of-yet unconfirmed events are written in gray.
